Blueprint Technologies Australia started life as
Tech-Write Services. In 1993 Ron Llewellyn left a career in the
insurance industry with a high level of self taught information
technology skills and started Tech-Write Services with his wife
Anya. Ron’s initial concern was to build a company which would
substitute his previous income.
Tech-Write initially sought to provide only independent
information technology consulting services to mostly small and medium
sized companies. This singular focus soon proved not to be possible
as the clients Tech-Write acquired were often asking Ron to supply
the computer systems detailed in the proposals prepared by Tech-Write.
Ron’s initial decision to begin selling IBM
computers was initially based out of a need to ensure he wasn’t
run off his feet by hardware issues which he would need to support
in-house. When seeking a computer supplier Ron’s selection
of IBM was based around several key factors:
- IBM at the time was the largest personal computer company
in the world.
- IBM had been producing high quality personal
computers since 1981. Click
here for more information from the IBM History website.
- Warranty support from IBM is second to none.
Our experience with IBM warranty support has proven time and time
again to our clients, the value of their warranty.
Once Tech-Write became an IBM Business Partner the
formula for success had been completed. Tech-Write services was
able to offer end to end products and services to meet a company’s
information technology needs.
In 2001 the organisation was also restructured and
became Blueprint Technologies Australia. The name reflected both
a new era for the company as well as our commitment to the IBM brand.
In 2005 IBM's Personal Computing Division was
taken over in a landmark acquisition by the Lenovo Group. IBM and
Lenovo now have a strategic alliance designed to give customers
preferred access to IBM's world-class customer service organisation
and global financing offerings enabling Lenovo to take advantage of
IBM's powerful worldwide distribution and sales network. Through
this long-term relationship, customers will receive the best
personal computing products with the lowest total-cost-of-ownership
and the same high quality design, production and support.
Our success has been built around the IBM name.
We use IBM computers almost exclusively in house. Our engineers
carry an IBM Lenovo Thinkpad in their engineering kits. We run four IBM
file servers, one of which was originally purchased in 2000 and
is still going strong!
We love our IBM servers & Lenovo personal computer. We know you will too.
